In Texas, with a very few exceptions, divorces are handled by the district courts (not by county courts), and the records are maintained by the district clerk (not the county clerk). So, if you’re in the San Antonio area, you can go to the district clerk’s office and ask them to help. There’s also a link to the Bexr County District Clerk’s web site below.

In many Texas counties, one can use a link to look up some information about cases, but I don’t see a link on the district clerk’s web site.

What to do next depends on how long ago your uncle was divorced, and what it is you’re trying to find out. If it was in the last decade or so, it may be fairly easy to find info online. If it was several decades ago, there may be nothing available online. Basic info such as when he was divorced may be easy to get. But if you want any more details you may have to go to the courthouse, have the clerk pull the file, and look through it to see all the papers that were filed with the court.
